Spilling the Beans...

As some of you guessed, we are going to Belgium. Hubby is going for work and all of us will stay for an extended period of time. I'm really geeked about it, but the packing is overwhelming to me right now. A good friend suggested I should pack as if I'm going for two weeks. Unfortunately, I bring too much even for two weeks. So, if you have words of wisdom, sock it to me.

My mother-in-law is in town until Saturday and I'm a bit under the weather, so here are a few pictures of the places Hubby's work will be taking us soon in lieu of a "real" post...

Are You Still There?

It's official. I'm the worst blogger ever. Life has been so crazy with the play. My mother-in-law is coming for a visit that begins the weekend of the last performances. Life is busy, isn't it?

There are other things filling up my time right now but I'm not sure how much of it to share online, but I can tell you a few things...

1. No, I'm not pregnant.
2. It's good news.
3. It's not an addition to the family.
4. I haven't been discovered in the little community theater and offered big money to do Broadway.
5. I'm really excited and a bit nervous about it. (Oh, the lists I'm making.)

Eventually I will share, but I wanted to at least let you know there are things on my mind that are keeping me from blogging. If you're still here, thanks. I'm hoping to be back soon.

The Scarlet Pimpernel

I'm back! The play has taken up a great deal of time and energy, but I'm having a great time. I'm sorry to have been away so long my bloggy friends. I'm a little under the weather today with a scratchy throat, but hopefully I'll feel better by Friday when we get to do it all over again. I thought I'd at least give you a few pictures of some friends from the show along with me and my "pineapple" wig. We're having fun and I think the audience is enjoying it too. Of course with live theater, there have been mishaps but that keeps it interesting.

Jan and I play husband and wife in a couple of scenes and we're having a great time. We're in the wedding scene and are basically background for the real action that's taking place. However, we came up with the idea that I could be a jealous wife while he played the letch who can't keep his eyes off the bride. It's fun to be on stage doing something instead of pretending and we keep saying crazier things to each other. So, just remember when you're seeing a show and there are some people "talking" in a crowd scene, there's probably some very interesting conversations happening.

Anyway, I'm having a great time but I'm sure I'll be away from the blog a bit for a while.
