Topic of the Week
TOPIC OF THE WEEK (which I am way behind if you're keeping count)
Now that it is getting cooler here, it makes me think of apple picking and hay rides. Are you the type that likes to go to participate in all the fall festivities like apple picking, pumpkins, decorating for the fall, hay rides, baking fall goodies, etc. or do you just sit and count the days till Thanksgiving/Christmas/Hanukkah?
I LURVE all things fall with the exception of allergies and my annual run in with bronchitis. I haven't picked apples this year mostly because our CSA runneth over. Hubby, Buttons and I went for a hay ride / farm tour and picked our pumpkins Friday night and had a blast. I haven't baked any goodies yet except coconut cupcakes for Buttons' birthday party last Saturday. (She turns 3 tomorrow!) I'm planning on making some pumpkin and/or chocolate zucchini bread, though. We do have a toddler scarecrow on our front porch dressed in Buttons clothes beside our pumpkins. Yes, I love autumn. Mmmm...

Hey! Happy b-day to Buttons!
How was the costume party BTW?!?!?
I am on my "mrqppxib" with anticipation!
Happy Birthday BUTTONS! I love Fall, too, but it's not the same here in Texas as it was growing up in the mid-west. But, big news - last night we slept without the airconditioner! WO HOO! That means autumn for us *sigh*
Happy-Happy-Happy BDay Ms. Buttons. I wish nothing but cupcakes, friendly cows, knitted treats, watermelon slices, trips to the farm...and lots of fun Chinese Dinners with Mom and Dad for you in the coming year.
XO, Auntie Wen
This is the first year ever we decorated for Halloween. But, we have children now... As far as the rest of the holidays I find it exhausting. I hate what it has become.
