Swap Goodies

Leah at Our Yellow House hosted a really fun swap and I was lucky enough to have her matched up with me. I loved that the swap was to be simple with emphasis placed on found/handmade items, spending no money. We all have things in our house to share or to make and this was a nice way to connect with another person. There was also a limit of 4 items, which was apparently tricky for Leah and I. Leah was very thoughtful in her gifts, sending yarn and buttons for those pocketbook slippers I'm addicted to making right now. She sent a knitting meditation book, which I'm going to put on my nightstand. She also included 3 handmade snack bags for me (specifically for rehearsals) and I wonder how long before Z (Buttons) starts asking for them in her lunch. The cd she made for me was brilliant. M (Hubby) and Z both loved it and it's become a staple around here. Of course she included a lovely handwritten note as well.

I came in late on the swap and Leah was kind enough to welcome me in and take me on as her second swapper and I thank her for that. I would also like to host this kind of swap sometime on my blog and Leah gave me her blessing on that as well.

so glad to hear that you all are enjoying the rani arbo cd. isn't it great to find an album or artist that you and the hubby can agree upon? i know i do because matt was on a huge heavy metal kick a while back and i had a real hard time listening to that all of the time.

thanks for being my partner!
