Be Careful Out There

When we put Buttons to bed she will tell us to check on her. If I put her to bed it's always "Mama, check on me and tell Daddy to check on me". Most of the time she'll say it several times and lately it's the mantra that she tells us again and again and will get out of bed to do it. So, this evening I put the kaibosh on it by asking her to just tell us each one time and we will remember. I reassured her that we always remember even if she doesn't tell us.

Tonight was hubby's turn to put her to bed. She remembered to tell him only once to check on her. However, she came up with something new.

"Be careful around breakable objects, Daddy."
